“The Revenant” ran off with five Bafta Awards – NRK

The film, with Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role, got prices for Best Actor (DiCaprio), Best Director (Alejandro G. Iñárritu), best cinematography (Emmanuel Lubezki), sound and cinematography.

White men

The award ceremony was held at the Royal Opera House in London. Comedian Stephen Fry was the evening host. That ceremony fell on Valentine’s Day was celebrated with a kiss camera.

This awards season has been much attention paid to a debate on why the film industry is dominated by white men. All nominated actors to Oscar both this year and last year are white.

The activists who want more diversity in the film industry has spent emneknaggen #baftablackout on social platforms.

Bafta was tiny bit more diverse with two black actors nominated, John Boyega and Idris Elba.
