SEOGHØR.NO: Jørn Hoel (58) is the last of this year’s seven artists honored in the TV2 program “Every time we meet.”
Ever since the 1980s, the sympathetic tromsøværinger been regarded as one of Norway’s most famous and beloved artists.

– I do not think they think so much about it until you notice that the songs mean something to other people. Then you suddenly such a feeling for a moment, says Jørn Hoel to Seoghør.no.

The successful 58-year-old, who is a busy father and grandfather, recognizing that he can get better at giving themselves a pat on the shoulder as an artist occasionally.
– one should perhaps lower your shoulders a little compared to what you do. For I never thought that … I’ve never felt like that much beloved. Man is little used to taking nice criticism, he adds with a smile.

Taking “sexiest” with a smile
during his career, Jørn Hoel both been named the year Grammy – and Norway’s sexiest man.
Recently he told Here and Now that he put little cost to the latter distinction, because he felt “sexiest” stamp went beyond his reputation as an artist. Opposite Seoghør.no he admits however that he now can understand why he got the title.
