Freddy Kalas crushes competition on Spotify – kjendis.no

(Dagbladet): If the final in Eurovision was settled by the number of plays on Spotify, would Fredrik “Freddy Kalas» Auke could open the champagne already.

According to figures from Spotify extracted Tuesday of this week, dominates namely frame bar total what number listeners are concerned.

About 90 percent of all who listen to the songs of the ten Eurovision finalists, listening to Kalas partylåt “Feel Da Rush.”

It says Fredrik Westin, Communications in Spotify.

3 million playbacks

In second and third places going Suite 16 and Agnete.

In writing, “Feel Da Rush” have been played nearly 3 million times.

In comparison, Suite 16s “Anna Lee” just under 75,000 views, while Agnetes “Icebreaker” has been heard soon 45,000 times.

But many views despite – Dagbladet musical director Sandeep Singh does not believe that Kalas’ power metal has such great context of whether he wins or not.

– We have previously seen that many “Stream” artists that are part of MGP not doing so well in the finals to finish, says Singh, and cites Staysman & amp; Lazz and Cir.Cuz as examples.

– Why is it so?

– I think maybe it has to do with the audience is a little different. Those who win MGP is happy ballads, and it witnesses a bit about it being a bit older folks who like to vote for MGP.

Synchronized

– Who do you think is best positioned to win on Saturday?

– Whoever has the most boring ballad, says Singh.

If youth increasingly had been voters think he Freddy Kalas had greater chance of winning – also in an international final.

– That’s really what Europe wants. His song is chopped more synchronized with MGP universe urge upbeat and mindless pop music than many of the other participants.

Singh is not surprised that “Feel Da Rush»-beating the other participants in number Spotify listeners.

– He has a large catchment area from before, has had two big hits in 2015 and is a far more experienced “Stream” artist than any of the others who are with. It is only natural, says music expert, who believes that musical culture Kalas comes from is the one that is best suited for Eurovision.

– Is there a musical culture in Norway that fits perfectly for Eurovision circus, there are those who come from Russian music and stream music, he notes.

– Solid

But although Kalas has required Norwegians ears, does not warrant statistics Strømsgodset rising away with the victory Saturday.

Since 2003, namely the winner of the Norwegian finals was one of the last three which have occurred – with Tooji as the only exception – and Kalas has got start number six.

This is despite – in an email to Dagbladet writes Kalas that he has a good gut feeling before Saturday’s MGP.

– I’m very happy for strømmningtallene. The response from the people on track is massive and I greatly look forward to shake loose the spectrum.

– How do you think the number of streams affect your chances of winning?

– I think it may have great influence, but this I do not know until the evening, there are many excellent contributions this year.

– Got floored

The day after this year’s Eurovision participants were announced, it was announced that 25-year-old was disqualified. The song should have been too similar to one of the artist’s second tracks the contribution remained within MGP- regulations.

– I got properly floored, it was very unexpected, but since everything was a misunderstanding and we solved it as soon as we were all up on their feet in full dance, he writes about the experience.

Now pleasures Kalas to Saturday’s show, and hope naturally for the best outcome. Although he has received the starting number six, he is not worried.

– There is a Skool, and the party must always be in the middle.
