TV2′s new music competition The Stream has already passed 500 uploaded contributions in about a week.
– We sent presentation program The Stream for about a week ago, and we already have received over 500 contribution is quite crazy, says presenter Tarjei Strøm.
Among the participants are locals of Hitra Frode Jenssen Jektvik (35). Jektvik uploaded his contribution “Time”, a contribution that writing is approaching 3,000 downloads. This corresponds to the 28 most streamed song so far. The song leader, has passed 16,000 downloads.

Creating new artists
The Stream is a totally new and Norwegian developed music competition from Monster Format and TV 2. TV 2 with joined forces with the world’s three largest record labels Universal Music, Sony Music and Warner Music as well as streaming giant Spotify to discover and create new artists as actually being done in reality in 2016.
Participants upload their contributions the website www.thestream.no, and the 100 most streamed artists go on to showcase for record companies. Universal, Sony and Warner signed by each tree artists each that they take with them into the final rounds.

– it’s very exciting among the entries, and it’s fun to see that there is so great variation among the who enters. The whole country is represented, and I know that the record companies have noted some artists already. But it is possible to upload contributions until May, so I’m sure we also have very much exciting to wait, says Power.
