She recommends sunscreen and sunglasses to all who live outdoors Monday, but can not promise the same heat conditions when the national day will be celebrated on eight days.
– no, this week looks quite nice out, and Tuesday and Wednesday becomes quite good temperatures, but not like today. But in general there is a tendency to lower temperature beyond the week. We expect a cooler weather conditions with wind from the north from Thursday, says Skjerdal.

have faith in relief
Eli Kari Gjengedal, værsjef TV2, is optimistic about the 17th of May the weather.
– It looks like we have shit luck this year. It is a high pressure ridge that snaps into over almost the entire country. It is not so hot, but beautiful sunshine and a little north wind which keeps the temperature down to 13 to 15 degrees so we can survive in the national costume, she says brilliant bland.
She still takes a little modification:
– there’s always a but, it is lots of low pressure around the high pressure. Thus there is a risk that the high pressure ridge can not. But so far, say forecasts that high pressure ridge should be strong enough to keep away the low ones. It thus promising on May 17 at present, but there is a little danger and wonder, says Gjengedal and adds:
– I’m always eternal optimist when it comes to weather 17 May. It is really exciting to see what we end up with.
Splayed forecasts for May 17
The forecasts for Tuesday May 17th are posted. On Yr.no reports the about between 7 and 12 degrees Celsius, partly cloudy, no precipitation and weak winds. It is almost equally as Storm.nos forecasts.
But forecasts are inconsistent stresses Mette Skjerdal in weather prediction for the West Coast.
– It’s still pretty far forward. Pentecost weekend looks to be significantly colder than now. The forecast for May 17 saying that it looks like it can proceed with a relatively dry weather conditions, but the forecasts diverge from the weekend. It makes it a little difficult to say what the weather will. The splay between rainfall or no rainfall, said meteorologist.
– Under 15 degrees
Skjerdal points out that if it should come rain on the National Day, there will be no unfairly.
– And we get enough not single-digit temperatures, but it soon becomes below 15 degrees. So for those who go in costume, it might not be so bad, says Skjerdal and underlines once again:
– There are still eight days into the future.
Last year struggled meteorologists to forecast the weather right up to and including 17 May because of many small depressions and storms.
PS: Time 1030 Monday morning was 22.7 degrees in Bergen.
