Tim Berg Ling, alias Avicii, is one of the world’s biggest DJs. He stands behind hits like “Levels,” “Hey Brother” and “Wake Me Up.”
Smeplass became known for the Norwegian people when she finished fifth in Idol in 2013, but she has achieved a lot since that time. She has topped iTunes, and has remained at the top of Billboard Lista after a collaboration with the Canadian artist Shawn Mendes. Her own song “2 AM” has been stable at VG the last seven weeks in the past with a remix by Norwegian Matoma.
Avicii was already 23 years old is the world’s most famous, popular and best paid electronica artists and has had great success with, among other songs, “Levels”, “Hey Brother” and “Wake Me Up.”

Smeplass, coming from Rennebu in Sør-Trøndelag, has worked extensively in Sweden in recent months, including in the studio PRMD which is also used by Tim Berling, alias Avicii. It was here that she was asked to be singing an acoustic version of “Waiting for love” , newspaper VG.
– Then it was just to fly over to see if it worked. Everyone was very pleased with the result, she told the newspaper. The new song is released today.
