Man suspected of rape on Gatebil festival – Dagbladet.no

A woman allegedly raped during the festival Gatebil on Rudskogen in Oslo on Friday night. A man suspected in the case.

– It is true that it was reviewed a rape. One person has been in for questioning. It was an assessment of his explanation, and it was determined that he should be released. Further comments on the matter may have to be given by the prosecution on Monday, said operations in Østfold Police, Bjørge Haugen, Moss Avis.

The man has status as a suspect, and an investigation is underway, police said.

Festival Hans Jorgen Andersson Gatebil told VG that he is familiar with the review.

– It is of course regrettable and a shame if such things happen, but I’m referring to the police for further comment on the matter, he said.

Andersson says that there have been about 45,000 people and 300 guards present at the festival, which is held in Rudskogen in Østfold.

In 2013 it was reviewed a duress rape at the event. In 2010 it was reviewed three rapes, as it was in 2008.
