Karpediem release music on Sophie Elise’s blog – TV 2

2015 was a bit of a musikkår for Magdi Abdelmaguid and Chirag Patel in Karpe Diem.

Despite the rap duo not come out with an album, they managed to create a furor in November and December with three music videos that anyone criticizing west edge somehow.

– It started the quite late then. We began the dropping in November, but it happened a lot in November and December, said Magdi to TV2 for the past year.

One of the music videos they gave out, “White men who pusher 50″ was crowned with a Grammy in the class year’s music, Saturday night.

– They set a new standard for music videos, said Marie Christensen, who had directed the video for Karpe Diem, right after the award ceremony.

A new standard

Now it also appears that they set a new standard also for how to release their music.

The duo release either individual songs than an album, and the last music video, “Hey Montebello” has lain with countdown clock on their own website longer.

And the very launch of the song does not happen at a party or a big event, but on the blog of Sophie Elise Isachsen.

– You are very hung up on the word album, and we try to free ourselves a little from it. Not to be pretentious, but the album is that so and so many songs will fit on vinyl or CD. But in 2016 so there is no easy answer to how to drop music, says Magdi to TV2.

Role models

The reason the Chirag and Magdi wants to launch “Hello Montebello» Norway’s most read blog, should be that they have in common that they are role models.

The new track trades namely that they are being controlled and that they are role models, and that comes a responsibility to be there.

Bearings music videos are not songs

Karpediem not talking about the latest music they’ve released as songs, but as music videos. It is about a total package and about how they intend when they created the music.

– We care not to say that there is a new song with music; there are a whole. We’ve thought of photos while we have written songs, so there is a new music coming, they say to TV 2.

Who gets undergo now?

In the three previous music videos the boys have both made themes of money, au pairs, and that it is easy to be a rebel in a basement. They have talked about Dorthe Skappel and Thomas Giertsen has also participated in the song “Au Pair” that a complaining westside neighbor.

– Is there anyone who gets a twinge now?

– No, there is no one getting any stings, says Chirag before he adds.

– It is always very difficult to predict what are picked out. We have always engaged in everything around us actually, and we try to put into words. Sometimes it becomes a song, sometimes it becomes a conversation on an afterparty. So we’ll see, says Magdi and laugh a little.
