Gro Helen Tørum is back in “Shall We Dance” – VG

“spiritual power” -Tørum about the comeback: – This is my turning point.

Gro Helen Tørum and her dance partner Ivo Havranek will come back in the competition after Christopher Mørch Husby chose to resign earlier this week.

Christopher of “Shall We Dance” : – Not in vain

– I did not hesitate to say yes when I was asked to come back to “Shall We Dance.” I wanted to dance more! The dancing has been like a happy pill for me, and it was a pain to quit, says Gro Helen Tørum.

She did offer to return to competition after Gitte Witt, who busted last Saturday and Mads Kaggestad, both declined.

– I’ve only had a few days to prepare me for this dance, but it’s been great to train with Ivo again. Now I just want to dance and have fun while I’m with. The other dancers are fabulous, and I see that the competition is tough. I think I’m brave to take this challenge and I am looking forward to take on the parquet again, she says.

Smoke on Rumba

The night she was voted home from competition she danced the rumba to a straightforward feedback from the judges and an overall score of 15 points . She had to dance duel against Mads Kaggestad, and ended up going home. Kaggestad is incidentally also out of competition.

She summed up as dance competition as an adventure from beginning to end.

– I’m not very sad . One is with while viewers want, and it’s over, it’s over, she said then.

But now the adventure started again – and may still have a happy ending for Tørum. Tonight’s topic is “My turning point” and participants will dance show dance.

Decline

Gitte Witt was the first to be given the opportunity to make a comeback in the autumn season, since she broke out last week. VG Witt says that she had two very fine months of the program, but that it felt right to not come back, after she had been voted out.

Mads Kaggestad were offered by Witt. He says he had to decline because of work, but that he will see the competition on TV tonight.

– It did not fit in relation to job, but I could have said yes if I received the offer earlier. I know how much work is behind, and how much extra it had been. But it tempted me, and it had been great.

He says that his dance partner Therese Cleve-Stiansen wanted to participate, but that he himself had to prioritize other things.

– I have a great admiration for Gro Helen. She is tough as doing this and I wish her lots of luck.

Not the first time

– We are incredibly excited that Gro Helen said yes to join in “Shall We Dance” again. It’s very sporty made to accept on short notice, and embark on a new choreography with only a few days to practice it, says Anne Martha Leidland, press officer of TV 2.

It is not the first Once someone withdraws from ‘Shall We Dance’, either just before the premiere or midway through the competition. Marianne Aulie changed his mind just before the start of 2012. In 2010, pulled Tom Nordlie themselves.

Other danced wearing injuries and therefore had to give up along the way – that Cecilie Skog in 2010 and Sigurd Sollien in 2008. Anders Jacobsen withdrew because of acute appendicitis in 2011.

These are broken out of the dance contest in autumn season: Pascal Dupuy, Ida Maria, Gitte Witt, Mads Kaggestad and Christopher Mørch Husby.
