Hugh Jackman shelving their Norwegian counterparts – They are wonderful actors. – kjendis.no

(Dagbladet): – They are lovely. If all Norwegian actors are so nice that Mats and Rune I would like to work more with Norwegians, said Taron Egerton (26) enthusiastically.

The Welshman, who was nominated for BAFTAs Rising Star Award this year, has starred as the British ski jumper Michael Edwards in the upcoming blockbuster “Eddie the Eagle”.

film has Norwegian premiere on April 1, and is loosely based on the life of Edwards, who against everybody’s expectation raked up to the winter Olympics in Calgary in 1988.

Edwards came in last place, but became a antihero because of their determination and enthusiasm. The Briton was heavier than most ski jumpers, started the training in fairly adulthood and had poor eyesight – which meant that he struggled with dew on his glasses as he jumped.

Jackman has the constructed role of Edwards’ trainer , an alcoholic, washed-ski jumper with basically little faith “Eddies” potential.

Norwegian Mats Sjøgård Pettersen and Rune Temte roles as a Norwegian ski jumping talent and jumping coach, and has impressed its star counterparts.

– They are wonderful actors, says Jackman, who in the film gets himself an cheat shaft of tamed nature.

– How was it?

– It was Rune , says Jackman and smiles as he shrugs.

The actors worked closely under “Eddie the Eagle” -recording in Germany and Britain, and met again on the red carpet outside the Colosseum in Oslo yesterday.

– I gave Rune a hug yesterday – he was a stone , says Egerton, clearly impressed by Norwegian’s solid physics.

Jackman, who is known for his bulging biceps as the superhero Wolverine, has also been impressed.

– If we were fighting for real I’d gone down, he notes.
