Did you know that Pinchcliffe movie consists of more than 100 000 still images? – TV 2

The latest film about Solan and Ludvig, here to Flåklypa, premieres 1. Christmas Day.

Family film is in familiar style of bicycle repair and inventor, Homer Simpson, B-man Louis with distinctly hay fever and apparent anxiety for pervasive changes, and Sonny Duckworth, morning bird that is born optimist and that has pretty low morale.

2 TV caught up with producer, director, screenwriter and actors to get some secret revelations from recording.

Here are 20 cool facts of production:

Broken Bone

● Some of the worst that can happen is that production Solan ruining foot. Let him onto the operating table and fixed, and the entire production is delayed.

Now it is revealed that Solan have fractured leg several times during recording. The legs can be stretched quite a lot, but because of scenes like that Solan to stand on skates, must animators stretch a little extra in the leg to get it cool and then break it, constantly.

Gravity Problem

● Emanuel Desperados is very narrow feet and has broad shoulders. When he turned to emerge, it turned out that he had a large gravitational problem. Production had to buy a whole extra rig so he would be able to hold up, since he was so heavy in the upper body.

Steinar Sagen

● Steinar Sagen sent smiskebrev to the director where he said he had dreamed of being Emanuel Desperados, and that he would like to vote add the sinister monkey. He got the role after auditions.

We has some nice footage of him when he’s in the studio and make noises. He gets’m not supposed to say a few words, he makes only sounds that express the Emanuel feel inside themselves, the director says about Sagens efforts.

Colour variation

● Solan had color difference on the head when they started filming. This would require a specially templates retrieved from the Netherlands to operate with miniature painting on Solans head for several days.

Should flap in the wind

● It was especially difficult to animate hang glider sequence at the end of the film. The director thought it would be okay, but it took an eternity, for all the little wires, ropes and details were to flap in the wind.

40 pop and more heads

● There are four Ludvig four Solana and more of each of the other characters. Overall about 40 dolls.

Some main characters also have different heads, which are either severe head or glad- head.

Each spike is molded

Ludvig is a porcupine, and each spike he has on the body is molded in silicone and put the body afterwards. The spikes are smaller than a match.

Heavy dolls

● The dolls are heavy and have joints that can stand in the pose long, unless they begin to sag down. They have movement of the eyes and mouth, and in several other body parts.

Home Knitted sweater

Marius-sweater Homer Simpson was knitted with cocktail sticks with a line almost as thin as a thread, to get to the fine mesh pattern in his sweater.

The sweater was knitted by her grandmother to one that worked on the production. She lives in Pasvik valley and is an expert in miniature tram.

Hand Lages miniature

● One of the major differences in live action -filming and stop-motion filming, as here to Flåklypa is filmed with, is that ALL of dolls and accessories must be hand made in miniature. In a conventional film, you can use the equipment and stuff that already exists.

Doll Responsible

● On production there is a separate pop responsible that goes around on the set and makes sure that puppets are not lying around, and places them in boxes his. She’s really strict, according to the director.

Taking over a week

The force of gravity is one of the hardest to create puppet film. Things that are very easy to achieve in computer animation is very difficult to achieve in a puppet film. Driving and Sprint for example. Camera Runs becomes almost none of the reason that it is so difficult. It takes a week to set up a camera driving. And it takes twice as long to film a camera driving.

Not one second to spare

● In live action films made countless recordings for each scene. With stop-motion filming made it just exactly the 75 minutes they need. There is not a single second material that is not used in the film.

The voices first

● The voices be very first, and then animate it after the vote. The cast reads lines and looks almost nothing to the film before it is finished.

Totally correct dialect

The actors who have the voices of all shapes, getting help from a person who at any time sitting and make sure they do not stray from their dialect a single second. They will in fact not be yelled at by people from Alvdal that they did not speak right.

The film had its world premiere in Alvdal.

Adhere to nose

● Ludvig have sinus congestion. Therefore actor Trond Hovik keep a finger on the nose when he should sound like the pessimist with the pronounced hay fever.

Started in 2012

● Efforts here to Flåklypa started in 2012. Production has been active for two years and it has taken one year to move dolls around in small cubicles to get taken all the pictures that eventually turns into a film.

Three seconds per day

● They had target to produce three seconds of film for each animator per day. (Animator is the one who sits and moves the puppets between each picture is taken.) It is created 24 seconds film on a good day.

● The film consists of 108,000 individual pictures!

A fairly large team

● There is a team of around 35 people working with animation, hence eight animators that move the puppets.

Millions of kroner

● The film has cost NOK 35.8 million to make. A doll costs around 150,000 kroner. The variation in price is how much mimicry head should have.

Kovner in combat
