Star Wars mauling Harry Potter record – TV 2

Norwegians do not get enough of Star Wars.

Yesterday was the seventh Star Wars- film released in Norway, to the delight of both reviewers and fans. And interest among the fans has been tremendous, it also shows sales figures for Wednesday’s premiere.



Ages opening weekend

REVIEW OF STAR WARS: THE FORCE Awake

All 81,898 tickets were sold to premiere the day which means that Star Wars is the best opening day in cinema in Norway – ever.

Slo Potter-record

Star Wars beating the old record for the film Harry Potter & amp; Deathly Hallows Part 2, from 2011, which was seen by 81,469 visitors on opening day.



Global Marketing

Advance sales of tickets started 19. October and were a global coordinated ticket launch, where one immediately saw the great interest in the movie.

– Exceptional

CEO of The Walt Disney Company Nordic, Inger Warendorph rays over the numbers.

– It is clear that the fans has embraced the film and the numbers today are exceptional! This was a bit of a Christmas present, tells Warendorph in a press release.

So it was for the actors after the first Star Wars trilogy.
