This is the new opera manager – NRK

At a press conference Friday, it became apparent that Irish Anni Reading Miskimmon takes over the role of opera director at the Norwegian Opera & amp; Ballet by Per Boye Hansen.

She comes from work as an opera director at Den Jyske Opera in Danish Aarhus, as she has been since 2012, and begins as opera director in Bjørvika 1 August 2017.

MUSIC MANAGER: German Karl-Heinz Steffens has been appointed muskksjef at The Norwegian Opera & amp; Ballet.

In addition to new opera manager is German Karl -Heinz Steffens appointed music director. He goes into the job 1 August 2016.

Steffens is now music director at Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz in Ludwigshafen.

– I am thrilled and honored to be the Norwegian Opera & amp; Ballet’s new music director. I’m glad to be a part of such a brilliant management team and look forward to create wonderful opera and ballet in this amazing house, he said.

Steffens is trained clarinetist has been solo clarinetist in perhaps the world’s foremost orchestras; Berlin Philharmonic. In 2002 he became professor of clarinet at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin.

There he taught until 2008 before he devoted himself to conducting full-time.
