Tore Andersen’s death – Halden Arbeiderblad

It was the recognized country artist Tore Andersen (55) who died after suffering a malaise on E18 in Sande Saturday.

According to the newspaper, 55-year-old on his way home from Horten to Oslo from a family dinner when he was unwell middle of E18.

As Drammen Tidende wrote Saturday there was her boyfriend sitting behind the wheel. She drove onto the hard shoulder when Andersen suddenly fell over and got cardiac arrest.

It was started cardiopulmonary resuscitation of passers-by, and eventually paramedics, but his life could not be saved.

Andersen was a Norwegian artist, musician and songwriter in country music genre. He established himself as a professional musician at the start of the 80s and released three solo albums.

In 2009 he won a Grammy Award in the category country with the album “Right Around the Corner.”

55-year-old was born and raised in Sørkedalen outside Oslo but has lived in both Halden and Stjørdal.

In deep sorrow

Colleague and friend Ottar “Big Hand” Johansen is in deep mourning after the tragic death.

– I met Tore nearly 25 years ago. Since it has been like two erteris. We were both colleagues and friends. We’ve written songs together, played in a band and traveled on tours together, he says to Drammen Tidende.

Johansen describes Andersen as one of the best songwriters and singers in country music genre in Scandinavia .

– Tore made great tracks to himself and to me and our colleagues. He had a very high standard and won including a Grammy Award in 2009. It was very deserved, he said.

The two artists played together for only a few days ago in Oslo.

– We had a pre-Christmas concert at Kampen Bistro in Oslo on 22 December. It’s a little sad to talk about, and makes me cry. But it was very good mood. Unfortunately it was his last concert, says Johansen.

– My thoughts go to the family. He will be greatly missed by me and all my colleagues, he said.
