– I confirm that I have applied job. But why I want to become artistic director, is between the Board and me, says Ketil Høegh NRK.
Among the other applicants we find actor Terje Skonseng Naudeer (Known from the television series Sky) and scenographer Gjermund Andresen.
– It was natural for me to apply because I have worked to and from Hålogaland Theatre for 10 years. I have my heart in the region, says Gjermund Andresen told NRK.
Growing up with HT
Also freelance actor Frank Jørstad – originally from Alta – fancy job.
– I have grown up with the performances of Hålogaland Theatre. Now I will do my best to develop the north Norwegian performing arts, says Jørstad.
Another wishing to become artistic director at HT is the Austrian Matthias Davids. David is currently director at a theater in Linz, but has been in Tromsø before. In 2012 he directed Les Miserables at just Hålogaland Theatre.

Only two women have applied
Of the 14 applicants are only two women, something that surprises chairman Renate Larsen.
– It is regrettable that so few women have applied although there is a good gender balance at the theater already. But the main thing for us is to get well qualified applicants, says Larsen told NRK.
The Board of HT aims to add new theater in October or November. The new manager takes over at New Year 2016/2017.
