«The farm» -Gaute reveals: How will the new season – VG

The presenter Gaute Grøtta Dig (36) has been surprised by the participants in the new season of “The Farm”.

The new season of TV 2′s success program is Gravs ninth as host, after he took part and won the first “The Farm” in 2001.

The program premieres tonight, but it is still three weeks left before the recording is complete. None of the participants are available for interviews, not to reveal who has broken out of the competition before being sent on TV.

Last year’s winner Magnhild was well positioned to to become mayor of your home municipality : You got what happened?

– There is much humor and love, especially amicable love, this year. But as in all families, when people disagree spare not on gunpowder. I will not compare to other years, but last year there were three very distinct men. This year there are others that are clearer, says Gaute Grøtta Dig VG.

Flirting

– Is there some other forms of love, too?

– I will not reveal too much, but it is part who are ready to find a partner. Whether it is friendship or love, I should not say so much about, but close relationships becomes. And flirting from the start, he says.

36-year-old has been surprised by many of this year’s participants.

– Many participants have multiple layers. They do things you do not feel fit to their character. Twelve of 14 has surprised me out of what I thought they were going to do, for example, a kind girl who suddenly play the game and some daggers in the back. Usually two or three surprises like that, says Grav.

Asked whether he could reveal some secrets of the new season, he comes with the following, mysterious answer:

– I would say that there is a dramatic season. Not necessarily in bickering or bad mood, but there are some things that are perceived very dramatically for participants this year. And that has consequences.

– What you’ve directed the?

– No, that way there is always drama. But this season there have been several things along the way that we have not planned. And it has affected the participants greatly. But I can not say much more than that.

Frustrated

Dig says there was something production could not have control over, and recognizing that it was uncomfortable.

– I am very happy to be in control, so for me it was not nice to see that something happened that was not planned . It was frustrating, but on a driving manner, he said.

– But you like well action?

– We like that the participants get their teeth into things, but is not so fond of that stuff from the outside affect our universe.

– Have there been people from the outside, as in previous seasons?

– No, this has been completely new things, new issues that one can not do anything. It is not someone who has done something wrong, he says.

Another challenge has been the weather. After it hardly rained in last season, also has “The farm” productions had marked the wet late summer and autumn.

– I’ve been so wet that earpiece just flowed out. Participants have been soaking wet and they have not anything drying cabinet for clothes. They have really known for extreme weather. Fortunately, we have not experienced basements full of water, because the farm is located on a top.

Success Program

– “The Farm” has been a great success for TV 2, and the program has been very important for the channel in terms of units and viewing figures. How do you know the pressure to deliver?

– My focus is always on making the best “The Farm” we can, with the best people. We need to get the best out of every day, every job, every thing, then you have viewing figures come by itself, he says, and continues:

– I think a lot of us hoping for good numbers on the first episode, but I do not like high numbers as last year and the year before. It will hardly be possible in today’s industry to get as good results over time. We have hit more than optimally on casting and struck a nerve in time. And so it has a bit of luck, a bit of timing and the rest of TV 2 system to do.

He feels, however, assured that the program will engage viewers.

– I know that the first program is very good, and the interest is there. I think people are ready for a new season, he said.
