There are obviously lots of gangsters on Bøler. Should we believe “Wendy effect”.
KRIM COMEDY
“WENDY EFFECT”
Norway. Directed by: Ole Endresen. 12 years. WITH: Linn Skåber, Morten Ramm, Christian Skolmen, Jon Øigarden, Kristofer Hivju, Nils Jørgen Kaalstad, Bjarte Tjøstheim, Jan Fares, Kåre Conradi, Hege Schøyen, Mariann Hole, Nicolaj Kopernikus.
And that we shall obviously not.
We’re talking crime comedy, we’re talking serious grin among forstandsgatenes gråeste shadows, corrupt cops, bristfeldige bookkeepers, sensitive pengeinnkrevere, troublesome city council and heartless killers. And in the midst of it all: A good-hearted, generous distributing but extremely smart body-working “business-woman” in Linn Skåber figure. It is she who is Wendy.
The thing is: Cash-flood has stopped, blood in underground Bøler congealed. The crash is a fact. It triggers crises, both in cop & amp; villain. Morten Ramm is from Økokrim (amazingly enough). Christian Skolmen is from NCIS (unthinkable!). And from there on in, it slutty and gambled and defrauded and murdered over a low sandal. And not a little of this will stop Wendy generous bosom.
Just kidding, of course. And genre rather liked director Endresens “The search for Berlusconi” from last year. But “Wendy” is better: It hangs together better in history – though do not ask for logic; it is more stylish, the dramatic development smoother safeguarded, the diversionary stupidity kept as somewhat restrained.
Man Gapskratt rare. Surely there sources of steady chuckling and half good to great points – which makes itself actually quite all right in a mixture we may first have to become accustomed to half an hour. Then appreciate.
