Jo Nesbø is the festival author of Crime Festival which opened today and is made special honor at the festival, and will participate in several program records during the three festival days.

Little did the audience when he opened the festival with a prologue this morning that he would be honored with the prestigious Riverton Club award for his entire literary work a few hours later.
– It’s a big honor. Not least because crime literature in Norway is so great, says Jo Nesbø Dagbladet continues:
– There is a leash of talented writers in Norway. In relation to the population, there are many talented writers and interest in crime is significantly. – A great talent
Since 1973, nine Norwegians received the honorary award, among them André Bjerke and Gerd Nyquist. Riverton Team International Award is awarded Ruth Rendell, P. D. James, Ed McBain, Maj Sjöwall and Henning Mankell.
– Nesbø has an amazing talent for storytelling, says author Gunnar Staalensen and also mentions scruffy working.
– When I sometimes hit Jo at an airport, I sit down to read a book, while Nesbø pulls PC and printer on a book.
Nesbø received “The Golden revolver” already in 1998, and has enjoyed tremendous success as a writer both at home and abroad.
New Harry Hole book
Jo Nesbø has become one of the world’s best-selling crime writers. His books about Harry Hole torn away from sales shelves, and Critical praise him worldwide. The two books are translated into 50 different languages.
Last year Nesbø out detective book “Blood on the snow,” and this fall he came with “Mere blood,” and now he’s started a new Harry Hole book.
