This week he is current in the film “Black Mass,” where he plays gangster boss James “Whitey” Bulger.

We’ve read through a series of interviews and articles about Depp, and have found some things you might not know about the actor.

1. Depp’s plan was actually to become a musician. Through his then wife Lori Anne Allison, he met Nicolas Cage, who encouraged him to become an actor.

2. Now that he is so famous, he releases fortunately going on auditions. He hates namely this. His worst memory was when he auditioned for a film by the Coen brothers. “I ridiculed myself at a whole new level,” he has said.

3. When he auditioned for the role in “21 Jump Street,” he was extremely cold. The role was his definitive breakthrough as an actor.

5. Jack Sparrow is, as known, inspired by Keith Richards. The reason is that Depp thought of who the pirates were. “I thought they must have been the time rock stars,” he has said.

6. Andy and Lana Wachowski would have originally Depp in the role of Neo in “The Matrix.” But he was considered too famous, so the role went instead to Keanu Reeves.

7. Reeves also took the male lead role in “Speed” and the role of Jonathan Harker in “Bram Stoker’s Dracula,” both of which were intended Depp.

8. He turned down the role of John Smith in “Mr. & amp; Mrs. Smith, “a role that went to Brad Pitt. Pitt met Angelina Jolie on the set, leaving his then wife Jennifer Aniston shortly after.

9. Depp ensured not only that Pitt met Jolie – he made sure he got his breakthrough as well. Depp thanked namely no to the role of hitchhiking shoulder in “Thelma and Louise”, the role that made Pitt known.

He would very much like to have starred in “Edward Scissorhands”, but thought it was out of the question because of the role in “21 Jump Street.” During the meeting drank three cans of coffee, and Depp was happy with my performance. Nevertheless, he was surprised when he was offered the role.

18. When he had finished his nine recording days in “Once Upon a Time in Mexico”, he asked director Robert Rodriguez if he could get a small role to. He turns giving him the role of the priest.

19. Depp is a fan of the TV series “Midsomer Murders” and has said that he dreams of making a guest appearance in the detective series. But he would not stay in the fictional town of Midsomer, which happens a new murder every week. “Who would live there? You are the only killed, “he has said.
