Justin Bieber would play an exclusive showcase concert for Norwegian fans in Oslo, but ended instead up leaving the stage after one song due to water on stage.
TV 2 was scheduled to send concert on TV these days, but was thus left with only one song. This will not show.
– We’d love shown song that Bieber did for the fans before he left the stage. Unfortunately, not Universal Music Norway and the artist responsible given us permission, Jan-Petter Dahl, communications manager of TV 2.
Although TV 2 wanted to see most, and all those sitting on the song material, the channel must give way to agreements made with Bieber’s management and record company.
– To get him to Norway they had to have the ability to adjust to such things. There has been some laps back and forth the last two weeks, says Dahl told NRK.
Communications chief stressed that TV 2 is pleased with the documentary, which will be sent immediately after tomorrow Senkveld.
– We’re reviewing the incident, and has a number of exclusive photos from the concert at Chateau Neuf, so we feel we are well built for the editorial. The documentary creates nothing flattering portrait of Justin Bieber, but describes what happened that day, says Dahl.
– Have TV2 kept its editorial freedom when you sign a contract that denies you to see Justin Bieber’s single song during the concert?
– If we had not signed the agreement, as had Bieber never come to Norway. It says either nothing in the agreement that we had to show this documentary. We had not shown application if we were not satisfied. It is our editorial right, says communications manager in TV 2.
The Friday after scandal concert received 953,000 viewers with his talkshow program Senkveld where thomas numme and Harald Rønneberg interviewed the Canadian artist.
