Arill Riise on “Norwegian Talents” -tabben: – Oi, it was not like that clip … – kjendis.no

(Dagbladet): Prior to the dance quartet Aces Crew’s final performance in “Norwegian Talents” Friday night, rolled a rogue “headline news” over the screens on TV 2.

News Anchor Arill Riise was in place in known pose, and issued the following message to the Norwegian people:

– What we know now is that natural disaster affects large parts of the world. We in TV 2. submitting as long as we can. All we can say now is: Take care of each other. Come on in safety, he said.

The banner “Global Disaster” rolled bottom of the screen, next to the image of flames in a big city.

– Come unfortunate

The message was not real, but part of the escalation of Ace Crew’s behavior. Many viewers raging instantly on social media, and complained that TV2 should not mix “news” and entertainment the way it was done.

News Anchor Arill Riise told Dagbladet that he had no idea that “news broadcasts” should be used in that way.

– This was something I was told to do, and I thought it would be used on a screen behind the dancers as they stood on the stage, not as an independent “headline news” in forefront. I think this came unfortunate, and it was not the way I understood that the clip would be used, says news veteran.

– It was used strong measures, some were afraid and we apologize strongly, said presenter Solveig Kloppen during the shipment Friday night.

– Oi

Riise says that he saw the element directly but was in concert when he was notified of acquaintances that many responded to the entertainment contribution he had recorded.

– When I got to see “Norwegian Talents” broadcasts I thought ‘Wow, that was not the way it should be, “he continues.

Several experts in press ethics has reacted strongly the TV 2 and calls the episode “distasteful”.

– To speak of disaster and crisis in the situation we are in now, two weeks after that we had a serious incident and has had crisis after crisis, it seems I’m pretty distasteful, says political scientist Carl-Erik Grimstad Dagbladet.

Sorry

Riise believes it was clear that “the news element” was meant as entertainment, and believes the debate afterwards shows how powerful a medium television is.

– I think it’s pretty obvious that this was a alimony, but it was the portrayed as a news item. It was not I aware that it was going and it was not the intention on my part that the clip would be mistaken for real news, he said.

TV 2 went Friday out and apologized to viewers felt offended. Siv Katrine Aamot, program editor for “Norwegian Talents” on TV2, apologized news clip to Dagbladet on Friday night.

– We are sorry if anyone felt offended by the instruments that were used, she said.

Saturday said news editor in TV 2, Jan Over Årsæther, that clip with Riise was not used as agreed.

– I am also informed that the clip is in violation of what was agreed. We have received an apology from the program department. This was mildly not good, and it’s all agreed, he said.

– Properly regret

Several of those who responded on Friday nights mean TV2 showed poor judgment and destroyed Friday during attitude.

Trine B writes on Twitter: “Not okay TV2! These days should be avoided such. Heart skipped a beat before it became clear that it was an intro to dance

Gina Helstad writes that “the fear of death was palpable on here on the sofa,” while Audun Pettersen believes that its introduction is “journalistic condemnable and ethically unjustifiable. “

Political scientist Carl-Erik Grimstad says he is happy that TV2 has apologized, both online and on TV, and that channel handling the case and criticism on the way .

– But good press ethics is not about hindsight. It is about seeing the situation ahead, he emphasizes.
