Celine Dion (47) her husband René Angélil is dead.
It confirms a spokesperson for the family to People.com Thursday night.
– René Angélil, 73, left us this morning at his home in Las Vegas after a long and courageous battle against cancer. The family asks for respect for their privacy, says the spokesperson.

Dion has canceled two concerts she should held this weekend, reports TMZ .
Wanted to Die
Angelil has been Dions manager and supporter for years, and has been an important person in Dion’s career. They married in 1994.

In the fall stood Dion ahead a heartbreaking interview, telling her that her husband had a strong desire to die.
– René says to me that he will die in my arms, and I reply that I is there for him. We have asked the doctors many times about how long he has left to live, but they do not know for sure, said Celine Dion in the interview.
Leaves three children
Angelil leaves the couple’s three children, René-Charles (14), twins Nelson and Eddy (5) and three adult children from a previous relationship.
Dion told in August that it was especially difficult for 14-year-old to handle the situation.
– He has trouble seeing their father so ill. Gemini is different with. They are accustomed to the situation, and they are with when I’ll feed him, says Dion.
Angelil got diagnosed cancer the first time in 1999, and he received a tumor in 2013, where doctors recreated parts of his tongue. Besides diagnosis throat cancer, he has also had heart problems.
