Was wrongly called out as Grammy-winner – Seoghør.no

Maj Britt Andersen thought she won Spellemannpris in 1985, but it proved not to vote.

SEOGHØR.NO: Maj Britt Andersen has since 1970 been one of the biggest musical stars. Saturday she won a Grammy Award for best child album “Vaela around” and was presented with the coveted trophy of Eva Weel Skram.

– It is absolutely amazing that I won. I did not expect it! says Maj Britt to Seoghør.no.

Now she thankfully keep the statuette, but she did not in 1985 when she was mistakenly announced as the winner.

– I was actually mistakenly called. It was reportedly shocking, but the audience reacted almost more than me. Next year we won luckily for real, says Andersen.

Nominated 14 times

The stunning brunette has been nominated for a total of 14 times and won ie in 1986 for the album “People are strange” and now for his latest album. Before the award ceremony told Maj Britt that she allows others to get the price.

– I’ve been nominated 14 times, so I begrudge really else to win, too.

Even when she was five years old decided Maj Britt for that she wanted to work with children. She has done much of his life – both in kindergarten and as an artist.

Children boards have been a tremendous success, and the album “People are strange” is currently in the public domain with over 100,000 copies sold.

Was adult mom

It would take many years before she and her husband Geir Holmsen (58) were parents.

– The children are the greatest gift I have received. We are so lucky to have Theo (20) and Daniela (16), she has previously said to Seoghør.no.

She believes there is a clear advantage that she was adult when she had children.

– It was fantastic to be mom in adulthood. I was well established and had worked for many years. I never had any problems with prioritizing what to do. It’s harder when you’re younger with a career you must take into account.

It was 24-year-old Kygo who was named this year’s Grammy awards ceremony during Saturday. The singer was not even present in Oslo and it was his two sisters who accepted the award. Tommy Tee got this year’s honorary award and Susanne Sundfør walked away with three prizes.
