Got a personal greeting from Bowie by lollipop-drama – kjendis.no

(Dagbladet): – Bowie was very angry then and there. It is well right to say that he raged. But he never saw the incident as a premeditated act. There I got a tangible evidence – by mail, says Petter Hafstad (55).

Two years after the incident in Frognerbadet 2004, where the little sister Trine Hafstad (48) was to blame for that one lollipop hit David Bowie’s right in the left eye, received big brother a special photo greeting card.

The image was of David Bowie. And greeting from Bowie himself.

– To the extent Bowie wrote autographs, there was rarely personal. Most often he signed with last name and year, says Hafstad.

– The jewel of the collection

The picture he received had such an autograph, written with black marker.

– But in addition, it was written with ink of lighter color, “Two Petter.”

He had even looked at getting the two tee right, says Hafstad.

He has the largest Bowie collection, which includes four to five thousand different vinyl releases (LPs, EPs, singles and maxi singles).

The collection of his insured for what it’s worth. But the jewel with the highest sentimental value – it is the greeting from Bowie.

– The picture is the jewel in the collection. It has hung promote so long that the font with “Two Petter” has faded, says collector concerned.

Help from the female fan

The reason why Petter Hafstad got compliments from Bowie, is as follows:

– I’ve always been a fan of Bowie’s music. Not primarily by individual decisively.

– So I’ve never met Bowie personally, or tried to make contact. But a younger female Norwegian fan that I was familiar with, was active in Bowie forums online. Otherwise forums where Bowie himself participated occasionally, under the pseudonym “Sailor”.

Hafstad continues:

– The Norwegian girl came in contact with Bowie’s inner circle. Including his son, Duncan (also known as Zowie Bowie, red.amn). Eventually she told the story of my sister, me, and the famous lollipop from 2004.

“No hard feelings”

Hafstad says that details of the Norwegian Wood story eventually tilfløt Bowie himself.

superstars were also informed that Petter Hafstad was a dedicated collector and had been a loyal fan since the early 70s.

– I interpret the picture as a handshake from Bowie. A personal note to me, which also signaled “no hard feelings”.

Dettte substantiated by a statement Bowie’s management came with Dagbladet in 2004, in the aftermath of kjærlighet- the stick-in-the episode, in what would prove to be Bowie’s third lowest Norway concert ever.

“We do not believe that someone deliberately tried to harm Bowie,” it was said.

David Bowie was also built at this himself, towards the end of verbal abuse in 2004, which took place for open mic for over one minute.

Here snarled Bowie, aimed at the for him unfamiliar love-thrower, “Keep your affections to your self!”.
