Out of “Masters champion”: “hid” on the beach – VG

– pity, but well deserved, says Anette Sagen (31) after she Saturday night was knocked out of the “Masters Champion”. Instead of tough competitions, was the long days on the beach with schoolbooks for our previous hop queen.

She jumps skis on the rack in March last year. Already on 2 January this year she was back in the spotlight in “Masters Champion”. The first night stone towards Siri Eftedal Seland she won, but Saturday she met her husband over the Jan Åge Fjørtoft.

– Pity. I would have liked to continue. But it was still very deserving that it was me who went out. Many of the others are extremely good, says Anette Sagen VG.

But to return home to Norway, nor did she. Instead, she moved into the same hotel where Siri Eftedal Seland had already stayed a few days.

– I could not go home to Norway after such a short time. When would the “everyone” know that I was knocked out, says Anette Sagen.

Went to Monaco

While Siri Eftedal Seland borrowed a bike of Thor Hushovd and speed round at Riviera in time after she was knocked out, chose Anette Sagen to bring their school books on the beach.

– Not all the time, then. Siri and I went on a trip to Monaco – and it took a half hour each way, says Anette.

The daughter of Siri Eftedal Seland: – This was well as expected this, Mom

– I did actually read part and it was good. We stayed at the same hotel as the TV crew and got the little information about how it went. But while there was the intriguing to see who was knocked out next time and moved out of the house and down to us, continues Anette Sagen.

Norway’s most famous female jumps gave a barely half before footage of the Year “Masters Champion” began on the French Riviera ii last autumn, around the time that she began nursing program at the University of Southeast Norway with study in Drammen.

– I simply have not had time to strenuous exercise after I retired, says Anette Sagen.

Dag Erik Pedersen: – Getting family visit was the greatest

– Satisfied

She was one of those who really spearheaded the female ski jumpers, and through the years, their public face in the struggle to gain equal rights as men on the ground.

– I think I got a lot left to be with the Masters Champion and I was very pleased with the portrait that was made by me in connection with the program. “Masters Champion” is simply a great program. Well and old fashioned and without a single intrigue.

– It’s as simple as that I do not think it’s so fun to stand on top of a ski jump anymore. I love the sport, but the joy of competing is gone, said Anette Sagen NRK when it became clear that she was going to give up.

But for her it had not always acted most about jumping well and competitively.

– Ten years ago there were more. Then you have to lend a hand if you wanted to join, and that was what was the dream, said Sagen.

When it was first hosted a world championship for women in the jump in 2009 , came Anette Sagen third in normal ground.

– She won extremely high, and there are not many athletes who have won as much as what she has done. She is well the most successful Norwegian jumps and has a very long and solid track record. She was always a tough ski jumper, and it is no coincidence that she won so much, said Clas Brede Braathen, sports manager for the Norwegian ski jumping team, to VG after it became known that Anette Sagen would add up.

She also received a lot of credit for that woman jump came on the Olympic program, but when it was first held there, in Sochi in 2014, was not her performance good enough that she was in the Norwegian squad. But she was invited as a spectator and followed the race from the grandstand space.
