Tonight get Fredrik Skavlan visit of Norwegian fresh immigration and integration minister Sylvi Listhaug (FRP).
38-year-old from Ålesund has become one of the Progress Party’s most prominent politicians, from 2013 as Minister of Agriculture and since December as immigration and integration minister.
Before she became minister worked Listhaug for lobby company First House, and had to endure criticism because she would not disclose customer their lists.
– Must learn from their mistakes
Listhaug has lately gained storm for his statements about Norwegian goodness tyranny and refugees are put in triumph, but has rarely bent or made self-criticism.
In tonight’s program asks Skavlan how Listhaug handle the increased visibility in the media, and get the answers that she always sees himself in the shooting.
– To get better, you can never rest on your laurels . You must learn from your mistakes, and therefore it is important to constantly strive to be better.
Listhaug says that when she sees the footage together with someone, it is usually the husband.
– He is told to be very critical. That’s what it takes if you want to be better: You can not just have yes-men around you who boast you up in the clouds, you must have someone who points out how you can get better.
– No surprise that Listhaug grasps
Ketil Raknes is høyekolelektor in PR University College Oslo and has worked with public affairs for many years, both as an adviser and secretary of state for SV and strategic communication. He is not surprised that just Listhaug are keen to go through its own screen performances.
– She has worked on the PR for many years before she returned to politics, so it is no surprise that she takes action about own PR work, believes Raknes.
But if they take action themselves or not, few politicians escape having to pick apart their own performances in hindsight.
– If you are acting on surfaces that are seen by very many, is it common that politicians sit down afterwards and evaluate themselves with communications people.
– Are there many who experience it as uncomfortable seeing themselves?
– People are different, but politicians are not different from the others in that they may find it embarrassing and uncomfortable to see themselves in shooting. Most get used to it after a while, but if you know you’ve made a bad behavior, it is rarely good to see it in hindsight.
