“Harry Potter” actor Alan Rickman’s death – kjendis.no

(Dagbladet): Actor Alan Rickman, known from movies like “Love Actually” and “Harry Potter” series is dead. It reports The Guardian.

– The actor and director Alan Rickman died of cancer, 69 years old. He was surrounded by family and friends, said the statement from the family, informs BBC.


The Guardian writes that the actor died in his native London. The family confirmed the death Thursday.


Greater actress

Alan Rickman has had a wide and long career, and was one of Britain’s most famous actors.

He is best known perhaps for the role of Professor Severus Snape in the “Harry Potter” films.

His major international breakthrough he got the role of Hans Gruber in the first ” Die Hard “movie from 1988, and as Harry in” Love Actually “from 2003, as the husband of Karen, played by Emma Thompson.

He received BAFTA nominations for her role in “Truly Madly Deeply”, where he played Juliet Stevenson’s love, and for his role as Colonel Brandon in “Sense and Sensibility”, where he played against, among others, Kate Winslet .


Despite the many movies Rickman starred in, was on stage he was most, and as he returned to his entire career.

Rickman was married with Rima Horton, whom he met when they both went to Chelsea College in 1965. The couple married in 2012.
