Rogers played the witty surgeon “Trapper” John McIntyre in the popular television series about an American field hospital during the Korean War in the 1950s. M * A * S * H which released its first episode in 1972, was a huge success and has gone to reprise countless times on various channels worldwide, at home on TV 2.
Rogers left the series after three of the series’ 11 seasons after a dispute over the renewal of the contract. In 2005 he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Having given himself as an actor, did Rogers career as a financial investor.
He died New Year’s Eve of complications after a pneumonia.
