Singer Natalie Cole (65) is dead – Sunnmørsposten

65-year-old died Thursday night, said the singer’s agent Maureen O’Connor said. The cause of death was heart failure and occurred as a result of complications from a kidney transplant and hepatitis C, according to celebrity website TMZ, which wrote that Cole died at a hospital in Los Angeles in the state of California.

Several decades after his father’s death did Natalie Cole his own breakthrough in the music world. She is perhaps best known for the album “Unforgettable … With Love” in 1991, where she made her father’s old song successes in their own way. At the Grammy-winning disc biggest hit, “Unforgettable” added Natalie Cole his own vocal tracks for his late father Nat King Cole’s recordings from 1951.

The release was Natalie’s blockbuster, and the result was a number of Grammy awards and a record sales of 7 million.

The American singer, jazz pianist and film actor Nat King Cole died of lung cancer in 1965. Natalie was only 15 when his father died, and would not initially use his name to make own success.

In 2008, Natalie Cole diagnosed with the severe liver disease hepatitis C. The disease was discovered during a routine examination. Cole should have gotten the infection associated with their drug use years back. (© NTB)
