Atle Pettersen becomes new presenter in Beat for Beat – NRK

– It is absolutely insane. It is less than one year ago I was invited to be a presenter in Christmas Morning, and now I’m going into the row of gold. It is amazingly large, says Atle Pettersen.

Ivar Dyrhaug has led the program since it first came on the air in 1999 and Beat for Beat has been a secure viewer magnet for all these years. A tradition Pettersen wants to continue.

– There are some awe attached to it taking over a program that all of Norway has such a strong relationship with and who have gone for so many years. One must treat it with respect, but I also like to add something of myself, he said.

It remains eight episodes of Beat for Beat this season. Dyrhaug past Beat for Beat sent Friday December 18th.



No major changes

It is uncertain whether presenter prey will lead to any major changes in the program, but Pettersen says he wants to bring something new.

– This is very fresh for me too, and I have barely getting started with job Inga. We will not change much on the concept, but i wanted to use my strengths and qualities to bring something new. But exactly what it is, I do not know yet.

– Are you going to try split jump?

– Split Jumped I do not think I shall embark me out given.

An era is over

Project Stian Malme says that now is the end of an era, but that they really looking forward to seeing Pettersen on the screen.

– First and foremost, there is something sad in that Ivar Dyrhaug era is over. But when the chapter ends, we are very pleased to establish such a dynamic and talented man who Atle.

Have you had a desire to connect with a younger audience?

– I think Atle hit both young and old. He is first and foremost a talented guy that appeal to large audiences. But there is no disadvantage that he appeals to the young, he said.

Malme says the focus now is on creating the latest applications with Ivar Dyrhaug then look towards next season.

– First we will create eight programs with Ivar. Then we are looking forward to getting started with Atle and see where we will take Beat for Beat, says Malme.
