Poor summer = good cinema – Lofotposten

Having seen the summer’s numbers, Cinema Manager Paul-Einar Olsen at Leknes ascertain that it is a pity Norwegian children’s films not released in the summer.

Number of cinema visits in the summer shows a recovery in both east and west of the Lofoten.

On Origo cinema Leknes children films that have drawn the most visitors this summer.

– Minions and Jurassic World is at its peak, says Cinema Manager Paul-Einar Olsen.

He can state a good increase in those from June until 29 July.

Weather or kinovær

– Although the weather is one of the reasons good visit, we see from previous years that if the films are good, comes the public regardless of whether it is good weather or not. This applies to the greatest extent children’s films, says Olsen.

He is therefore a little disappointed that it is not released Norwegian children’s films during the summer months.

And he despairs not know if there is sun either.

– There may of course be good to sit in a dark and cool movie theater after a day in the sun and swimming at the beach, says theater manager.

Increase in east also

Also on Svolvaer movie theater has been an increase in the number of moviegoers in relation to last year.

Civic Leader Eva-Mette Lundahl says that Jurassic World and Minions are the big winners also in the east. In addition, Magic Mike and Terminator done well.

– Mission Impossible has kjempefine premiere numbers, and are not ready to go yet. I’m excited about the final figure there, says Lundahl.

They are pleased with the increase, although it is somewhat below the national average.

– The reason that the increase might not look as great on nationwide, is that we have increased despite many fewer performances than last year, explains Lundahl.
