The Emmy-winning series Game of Thrones is based on the bestselling fantasy book series-written by George RR Martin. In June, the final episode of season five aired on American television.
Recently it was announced that season six are under recording. It has previously been speculated that the series ends after season seven. It disproves now HBOs program manager, Michael Lombardo.
– Seven seasons and then ending has never been the plan. The question is just how much beyond the seventh season we go, said HBO boss subchannel summer presentation for the press at the Television Critics Assn, writes Variety.
Can get multiple series
Lombardo does not deny that there may be precursors or spin off series.
– I’m open to all creators want to do. There are huge past histories to the series that can be told in a precursor.
